DINNO 2024 Top Innovative Startups 3

ⓒNODESHORE

The highlight of DINNO 2024 was the gathering of startups that are integrating AI technology into their fields and explaining their innovations. (DINNO stands for Digital INNOvation.) They all demonstrated that Hyper AI goes beyond simple AI capabilities. Here are three startups that received the Future Innovation Award from our perspective. By the way, DINNO 2025 is scheduled to take place from September 30th to October 2nd. Stay tuned for next year!

Zkrypto: One-touch voting ensures privacy

ⓒNODESHORE

Zkrypto is a startup that is revolutionizing the future of voting systems. They have addressed the drawbacks of e-voting and the privacy risks associated with traditional offline voting. Zkrypto utilizes blockchain and zero-knowledge-proof technology to enable secure and secret voting. Currently, you have to go to a polling station in person and reveal your name, face, and where you live to be identified, but with zero-knowledge proof, you only need to confirm that you are a voter with the right to vote. With their zKvoting system, all votes are encrypted and stored on the blockchain, ensuring voter anonymity. Zkrypto won the Innovation Award at CES two years in a row for this groundbreaking technology. They are currently working on implementing the “world’s first blockchain online voting” in South Korea and are also exploring opportunities in the US market.

Norma: Quantum technology is a revolution

ⓒNODESHORE

Think of computers as we know them differently. The difference between classical computers and quantum computers is like the difference between cars and airplanes. We may think that we can go anywhere by car, but not to other countries or other planets. Airplanes, on the other hand, have opened up routes that cars cannot access. ‘Norma’ is the first Korean company to develop quantum computer hardware and software. Quantum computers are powerful in computing using probability. Therefore, even a large number and wide range of parameters increase the computing power with a large number of probabilities. Quantum computers can solve problems that would take months for conventional computers due to their ability to calculate high probabilities. Norma’s quantum computer could therefore be a significant help for challenging tough tech, including drug discovery, chemical research, urban development, and space exploration. Norma plans to launch a 5-qubit quantum computer within the year, marking the beginning of a revolution.

Nota AI: Lightweight is fast

ⓒNODESHORE

Have you ever felt that your generative AI chatbot is too slow? Large AI models can be heavy, causing delays as they fetch answers from a central cloud server. ‘Nota AI’ addresses this issue with its proprietary lightweighting technology, speeding up data processing on edge devices. This reduces AI model size, latency, and server costs. Nota AI offers solutions for face or object recognition, fight detection, fall detection, crowd counting, license plate detection, and more. The company has offices in the US, Germany, and South Korea, and aims to provide hardware-aware AI optimization and edge AI solutions globally.
